This is my first blog post and I have to admit that I’m a little nervous. It’s funny to think that people might be interested in what goes on in my head, but here I am – sitting behind my laptop and typing out these words for you to read. And you know what? I actually kind of like it.
I feel like I have been postponing starting my own blog for a while now. There have been many occasions on which I almost got to the point of finally registering an account on a blogging website, only to find a new excuse not to. “No one is interested in what I have to say”, or “What if so and so finds out?” and even “I’m rubbish at writing”. But it’s the start of a new year and I thought ‘why not?’ There’s no time like the present, and if I’m ever going to start a blog – why not start now?
One of the reasons why I wanted to start a blog is because I love writing. And it’s something that I need to do more often. It’s so easy to get caught up in a daily slump and not leave any room for anything you truly enjoy. Don’t get me wrong – I’m not living some miserable life where every day is filled with activities I despise. Absolutely not. But I do sometimes feel as if I don’t have enough time to dedicate to me, and just me.
So, from now on, I have a little space on the internet that is entirely my own and that I will devote time to every week. I’m excited to take you all along on this journey with me! Have a great week, and hopefully I’ll see you again next Sunday.
