The Vogue 73 Questions Tag

73 Questions Tag
I was nominated for this tag by Poppy, and since I love reading this kind of post myself I couldn’t not do it. Now, I’m not quite sure what the rules are on this, but I’ll be tagging the following lovely bloggers (seriously, check them out): Ella, Imogen and Kirsty. Now we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get on with the post!

  1. What’s the best thing that has happened to you this month?
Winning two giveaways! I won Imogen’s Hallowreadathon Preparation Box giveaway, and The Blossom Twins’ K.C. Tansley giveaway.
  2. What’s the best thing that has happened to you this year?
    Finally getting my Bachelor’s degree.
  3. What’s the best thing ever?
Definitely dogs. We don’t deserve them; they’re too pure.
  4. What’s your favourite season?
Summer. I just love that carefree vibe of the longer, warmer days.
  5. What’s your favourite holiday?
Christmas. I think it’s more because of sentimental, melancholic reasons, though – it will always remind me of cosy evenings with family.
  6. Would you ever live in a big city?
I have lived in a big city for five months, if Naples counts as a ‘big city’. But I don’t think I’d like living in a big city permanently. The only exception to that would maybe be London. Don’t ask me why, it just seems like the only big city I might enjoy living in.
  7. What’s your favourite ice cream?
I don’t think I have a favourite – I love anything chocolatey, and things like Nutella or Oreo ice cream. You know, the novelty stuff.
  8. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Of course. Are there people who don’t untie their shoes before taking them off? The insanity!
  9. What’s your favourite dessert?
Probably tiramisu. The one my dad makes is the absolute best.
  10. Cake or pie?
    Cake. Definitely cake.
  11. What’s your least favourite food?
  12. What’s your favourite condiment?
Mayonnaise. Although I do love me some BBQ sauce, too.
  13. It’s brunch, what do you eat?
That depends on what they’re serving, ha! But seriously, give me American pancakes and I’m a happy gal.
  14. What’s your favourite colour?
  15. What colour dress did you wear to your prom?
I didn’t go to prom, because we don’t really have a prom here in Belgium.
  16. Blow dry or air dry?
    Air dry.
  17. Do you think you’re strong?
    Not at all.
  18. Who’s a person you’d love to have a coffee with?
Harry Styles. I think he has a very calming aura and I’d love to find out more about how he sees the world around him. Maybe I could even learn a thing or two from him.
  19. When was the last time you cried?
Last week when I was trying to get in the shower but there was a spider on the ceiling and I was too scared to move.
  20. Who’s the last person you texted?
I’m not gonna lie – probably my boyfriend.
  21. Twitter or Instagram?
I used to love Instagram as a platform, but I think right now I prefer Twitter.
  22. Who should everyone follow right now?
  23. Have you ever had anything stolen from you?
Actually, yeah. When I was in Naples for my Erasmus exchange my identity card got stolen in a club, which was a right hassle because I had to then go to the Belgian embassy and get a new one in time for me to fly back home.
  24. Favourite country you’ve visited?
That would have to be Italy. Ever since my first holiday there I’ve fallen in love with the country, the language, the culture. Hence why I’ve been studying Italian at uni for the past couple of years.
  25. Last country you visited?
    Italy, of course.
  26. Country you wish to visit?
I really want to go to Scotland in the near future. Edinburgh especially, to be more specific.
  27. First pet?
Technically my first pet was my sister’s cat, because that cat was already here when I was born. But the first pet that I would consider my pet was our first dog.
  28. Favourite Disney animal?
  29. What are you doing tomorrow?
I don’t have class tomorrow, so I’m probably going to spend the day working on uni assignments and preparing for Blogmas (which is coming alarmingly close).
  30. What are you most excited about in life right now?
Finally moving out of my parents’ house and moving in with my boyfriend. We’re not there yet, but we’re looking at apartments and I really hope we’ll find something sooner rather than later.
  31. What book are you reading right now?
The Dutch translation of Isabel Allende’s Ripper.
  32. A book you read because everyone else was reading it?
Fifty Shades of Grey. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about (both good and bad), and I actually quite enjoyed reading them – they weren’t as bad as everyone was making them out to be. That reminds me I still have to read the final book, though.
  33. What are you completely bored of right now?
Big YouTubers who bring out pointless “merch” that they sell for ridiculous prices and don’t recognise their own privilege.
  34. What’s your favourite beverage?
Any type of novelty latte: PSLs, Oreo lattes, caramel lattes… You name it, I’ll probably love it.
  35. What’s your favourite cocktail?
Does a gin & tonic count? Because it’s definitely a gin & tonic.
  36. What would you order at a McDonald’s drive-thru?
Medium fries, 6 chicken McNuggets, a (double) cheeseburger and a few packets of mayonnaise.
  37. What’s one thing you still have from your childhood?
I think I still have most – if not all – of my stuffed animals. And just my toys in general, I think. I’m a bit of a hoarder when it comes to that stuff.
  38. What’s your current favourite TV show?
Supernatural all the way, baby. It’s on its 13th season and a lot of people have gotten bored of it, but I can’t imagine ever not loving it.
  39. What’s a movie that made you cry?
P.S. I Love You. It had me sobbing basically from beginning til end, just like the book.
  40. What do you miss the most?
Spending time with my sisters, and having friends.
  41. What’s something you can’t do?
Whistle. I’m sure there are plenty more things I can’t do, but that’s the first one that popped into my head.
  42. What are your nicknames?
I don’t think I have any. None that I like, anyway.
  43. What makes you laugh a lot?
    My boyfriend.
  44. Heels or flats?
I mostly wear flats, but I actually want to start wearing heels more, even though they kill my poor feet. It’s just that I’m very short, and I feel like more of an adult when I’m wearing heels, if that makes sense?
  45. What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
    My Erasmus exchange to Naples.
  46. What’s one thing you wanted to do but been scared of?
I once had the opportunity to go sky diving, but I politely declined.
  47. What’s the thing you’re most proud of?
    My Bachelor’s degree.

I think at that age I still wanted to become a veterinarian.
  49. Dogs or cats?
    Dogs, duh.
  50. What’s the most important thing that someone can learn?
That it doesn’t matter what people think of you; you need to live life for yourself.
  51. Bath or shower?
I actually only take showers because we don’t have a plug for our bath anymore, but I’d actually love to take a bath again. I miss baths.
  52. Mountain hideaway or beach house?
This is a tough one… It depends on what I’m in the mood for, because both of them are great for entirely different reasons. Right now, though, I think I’d have to go for beach house because I’m actually quite sick of the cold and the rain and I could do with a beach holiday.
  53. What’s your favourite scented candle?
My mum bought one that smells of apple and cinnamon and I love it. I’m going to buy one myself, I think.
  54. If you could spend 3 months anywhere, where would it be?
I would love to just travel through Italy for 3 months – that would be a dream come true! I’d definitely want to spend a few weeks in Naples, since that’s sort of my home away from home, but there are so many other cities that I want to visit too.
  55. Are you messy or neat?
Deep down I think I’m actually a neat person – I hate messes. But I’m also very lazy so my bedroom and study are usually a right mess anyway.
  56. What’s the first thing you do each morning?
    An energising yoga routine.
  57. What do you have for breakfast?
A few scoops of protein muesli that I buy from my dietitian and 100g quark.
  58. What’s the last thing you do before you go to bed?
    A relaxing yoga routine.
  59. What’s one skill you wish you had?
I would love to be a great singer. But, now that I actually think about it… Being a great photographer would probably benefit me more now that I’m a blogger!
  60. What’s your favourite pizza?
It used to be a pizza Hawaii (you know, with pineapple on top), but I don’t know if I really still have a favourite. I just order whatever I fancy most at that moment.
  61. Describe your ideal partner in 3 words.
    Honest. Funny. Loyal.
  62. Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
I don’t really talk to people on the phone that often, but I think the last person I called was my mum.
  63. At what age were you at your happiest?
I think that right now I’m at my happiest, so 26.
  64. What’s the last thing you ate?
Two slices of protein bread with some veggies (lettuce, tomato and cucumber), salami and a bit of home-made mayonnaise.
  65. Where do you go when you need to be alone?
Usually outside. Taking a walk works wonders for clearing my head.
  66. What’s the biggest thing on your mind right now?
Definitely Blogmas! I don’t know why I decided to do it this year – it’s stressful af.
  67. What’s the best activity to do at home on a rainy day?
Drink a nice cup of tea while cosied up on the couch with a good book, or one of your favourite tv shows or films.
  68. What are you listening to right now?
A live stream of relaxing jazz music on YouTube.
  69. On a scale of 1-10, how happy are you with life right now?
A solid 8,5. I’m happy with a lot of things that are going on in my life right now, but there are some areas I’d love to see an improvement in.
  70. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I don’t think I’ve ever really eaten anything weird.
  71. Starter or dessert?
Generally, I’d probably go for dessert over starter, but it honestly depends on my mood.
  72. Is there a dessert you don’t like?
I don’t really like ice cream as a dessert, for some reason. I’d much rather just have it as an afternoon snack in Summer.
  73. What’s the furthest you’ve been from home?
I once travelled to Crete with a friend, and I think that’s the furthest I’ve ever been from home.
If you’ve made it to the end, congratulations! You’re a real trooper. I hope you loved reading this little (big) post and getting to know me a bit better. I’d really love to know what your answers are to some of these questions, too.
